We did a lot of book giveaways over in the forum last month, and I'm about to start March off on the same foot: beginning Wed, March 3, 2004, the first giveaway of the month will begin. I have a copy of Lisa Jackson's latest,
The Morning After (Zebra), which I reviewed here in the last couple weeks. Rules will be posted in the forum, and if you're not yet registered to use the forum, hurry on over and register now, because there is a time delay on posting privileges (to keep the spammers away). Registration is free and painless, and we have lots of good discussions going on that you can jump on into as well.
This week, I have two new books for you, including Jayne Castle, aka Jayne Ann Krentz's latest,
After Glow (Jove). Last we saw Lydia Smith and Emmett London, things were looking up in their relationship. Things appear to have hit a small bump now, though, and Lydia walking in to find a dead professor doesn't help matters. Of course you'll find plenty of steam here, and a good helping of humor. I was very happy to get another chance to visit with Lydia and Emmett and all their paranormal-type abilities. I'm borrowing four of Cupid's five arrows for this one.
The other book I have to share with you this week is a collection of three of Kay Hooper's old romances,
Elusive (Berkley), "Elusive Dawn," "On Her Doorstep," and "Return Engagement." All three are from the eighties, so if you've not read any older romances, expect alpha men and, while not exactly weak, women who don't always know what they want. My favorite was "On Her Doorstep," with Erin Scott, an author hiding away from the world, falling for Matt Gavin, her publisher and one very determined man. For Ms. Hooper's fans, this may be a pleasant visit down memory lane, and for fans of older romances, a collection you want to grab now. I'm giving it three and a half arrows.
Until next time, happy reading!
