Cloth napkins are readily available in many stores and the quality and price vary widely. I have some that have serged edges, which look nice, but they have a tendency to curl. Others were not cut squarely when they were made and after a few washings, they began to lose their shape.
I finally decided to just start making them myself. Cloth napkins are very easy to make. You can not only save money, but you can use fun fabric prints and colors that coordinate better with your kitchen and dining room decor
This project will help you practice sewing double fold hems and it will also reinforce the straight seam stitching and pressing skills that you have learned in previous lessons.
