Coffee Accessories

Do you have the latest phone, laptop and car but you haven’t updated about your coffee accessories for ten years? It’s time for you to see what is possible.

Every morning we blindly roll out of bed, hit the coffee maker switch, swig down our coffee and keep on going. How boring! We are addicted to all of the latest in gadgetry except when it comes to our coffee. Come on along and let’s explore what’s out there. You might find a whole new way to enjoy your morning cup.

Milk Frother

Most of us have experienced steamed milk at some time or another but few of us have tried it at home. Here is a milk frother by Nespresso. It can do 4 oz. of froth or heat 8 ounces of milk. This would be a nice touch when entertaining or just a little something for you to make life just that much sweeter. It does come at a price though, just $99 on the Cooking.com site.

Coffee Warmer

I use lots of milk in my coffee so I generally hit my cup with 30 seconds in the microwave before I even drink it. I then sit with it while I surf and write which diminishes the possibility that my cup remains hot for any length of time. Enter the Mug Warmer by Norpro, a gift I can use. For just $14.95 on Cooking.com, it won’t hurt your pocket and yet it would make me a very happy woman. I will have to leave hints for my family on this one.

Keurig

If you haven’t experienced a Keurig you really need to check it out. To me this is the ultimate. Keurig is a single-cup brewing system. The coffee selections come in an air-tight small cup that contains a filter and ground coffee beans. The Keurig machine punctures the cup and sends pressurized hot water through creating a well-infused treat.

A great accessory to have if you’ve already got your own Keurig is the K-Cup Carousel. It holds 27 of your favorite K-Cups (K-Cups not included) and is chrome plated with a lazy-susan base for easy rotation. The cost is $19.90 on the Cooking.com website.

Carafe

For Iced Coffee or hot, the ALFI Ink Blue Carafe is a striking piece. It’s a German-made product, holds four cups and keeps liquids hot or cold for 12 hours.
