After a battle with brain cancer, Patti Webster, CEO of the firm W&W Public Relations passed away, she was 49. Webster died at a hospital in Somerville, N.J., her firm announced.
Webster was a longtime publicist who represented several stars including Usher, Janet Jackson, Chris Paul and Alicia Keys.
Founded in 1991, W&W Public Relations represented several celebrities in almost every field. Some of the firm's clients included; Halle Berry, Donald Lawrence, Dwight Howard and Steve Harvey. The company also represented several organizations including Harmony Records and Creflo Dollar Ministries.
Prior to starting W&W, Patti worked for the New York office of Rogers & Cowan Public Relations, Inc. While there she worked on a variety of music/corporate entertainment accounts including Quincy Jones' Qwest Records and worked with clients such as Stevie Wonder, Julio Iglesias, Gloria Estefan, Paula Abdul, Celine Dion and B.B. King.
I had the chance to meet her on several occasions and she was always a professional. Her impact in the world of media was well known and respected.She was more than a publicist to many of her clients; she was their friend. My prayers go out to her family, friends and staff at W&W.
She is survived by her father, two sisters, two brothers and other relatives.
