Turkey and Ham Holiday Spread Recipe

What can you make when you have just a bit of turkey and a dab of ham? You can blend it together with fruits, veggies, spices, and mayo! Is it a salad, or is it a spread? Whatever you call it, Turkey and Ham Holiday Spread makes any occasion special.

Turkey and Ham Holiday Spread Recipe

Ingredients:

1 cup cooked turkey chunks (I used Butterball.)
1 cup cooked ham chunks (I used Kirkland Signature Spiral Sliced Ham.)
2 tablespoons of finely chopped red onion
cup finely chopped celery
cup finely chopped Kosher dill pickle (I used Claussen mini dills.)
cup Robert Rothschild Farm Roasted Pineapple Habanero Sauce
2-3 tablespoons mayonnaise
cup dried cranberries

Method:

If you have one, use a food processor for chopping. I used my trusty KitchenAid. Finely chop the turkey by using the chopping blade and pulsing several times. Pour the chopped turkey into a medium sized bowl. Then, finely chop the ham and put it into the bowl with the turkey. Do not over-process and turn the meat into paste. Chop the onion, celery, and pickles separately and add them to the meat. Pour the Robert Rothschild Farm Roasted Pineapple Habanero Sauce into the bowl and top all of the ingredients with 2 tablespoons of the mayonnaise. Stir to combine. If the mixture is a bit dry, add the other tablespoon of mayonnaise. Stir the cranberries into the mixture. Place the mixture into a covered container and let stand for at least 2 hours. This will help the flavors combine and the cranberries to soften.

Variations:

*Slice a croissant and layer the Turkey and Ham Holiday Spread onto the croissant with butter lettuce or spinach leaves.

*Make open face sandwiches with crackers or a Kim's Magic Pop.

*Grill two slices of your favorite bread until it is delightfully crispy. Cool the bread, grilled side up, then apply the Turkey and Ham Holiday Spread over the cooled bread. Top the tasty spread with fresh greens and close the sandwich with a second slice of grilled bread.

*Wrap the Turkey and Ham Holiday Spread Recipe in lettuce leaves for a low-carb treat.
