| There have been major changes to Camera Raw and PhotoshopR CC. The new built-in Camera Raw filter in Photoshop makes it possible to work on your photo with the Camera Raw tools within the Photoshop workspace. There are also several improvements to the Camera Raw tools, such as the improved Healing Brush, which gives the artist the option to use a non-circular brush.|
Previously, Photoshop gave us control over the Stroke layer style in that we can choose between the Inside, Outside and Center position for the stroke. With Photoshop CC we can now set the Feather Effect for the Radial Filter to either the Outside or Inside in Camera Raw.
Also, there is a new Camera Raw Upright feature which offers four presets for better perspective corrections even if there is no horizon in the photo. Starting from these presets, you can use the slider controls to make fine adjustments.
With the new Convert for Smart Filters option in the Filter menu, you can convert the photo layer to a Smart Object layer and then open the Camera Raw Filter. Any adjustments made will be nondestructive because you are now working on a Smart Object layer.
When I make product video trailers, my first step is to remove the product from the background of the photograph in order to place the product into the video clip. This task is now much easier with the new Minimum and Maximum filters for masking. As you would expect, the Minimum option will slightly shrink the mask edge and the Maximum option will expand the edge. Not only can this fine adjustment be used on the mask as a whole but you can also select problem areas with the Selection tool and make further adjustments.
What’s new in Photoshop Lightroom 5? The new features include an advanced Healing brush, new Upright tool and Radial Gradient tool for adding multiple gradient vignette areas to your photos. You will also see better video slide shows and improved photo-books.
