Discover Lauderdale-By-The-Sea

Lauderdale-By-The-Sea is a tiny town of 6,000 residents located smack dab on a beautiful stretch of the Atlantic Ocean just south of Pompano Beach, Florida. Not only does it feature a perfect climate—how does an average temperature of 76 degrees year round sound—it also has cute tourist shops and great restaurants on every corner; not to mention that chill vibe you can only get in tropical beachside towns. Lauderdale-By-The-Sea is located in the Fort Lauderdale metropolitan area, so you’ll have access to everything you could ever need or want, yet you’ll feel miles away from it all once you settle in.

Where to Stay: Park your rig somewhere else this time around because you’re staying at the High Noon Beach Resort. This adorable beachside resort features hotel rooms to fit all sizes of families, from efficiencies to 2 bedroom apartments. The staff is amazing, and the location can’t be beat. It’s in the middle of everything at Lauderdale by the Sea, and features two salt water pools, shuffleboard, onsite laundry, and many other amenities.

Where to Eat: BurgerFi, located at 4343 North Ocean Drive, is an eco-friendly fast food burger joint that not only serves up organic meats and quinoa burgers, you can also get craft-beer, wine, to go along with your meal.

Where to Eat: Aruba Beach Café, located at 1 Commercial Boulevard right on the ocean, offers beachside dining. You’ll feel like you’ve taken a trip to the Caribbean.

Where to Eat: Athena By The Sea, located at 4400 North Ocean Drive, offers up delicious Greek fare in a festive atmosphere. Try their homemade hummus and dolmas, you won’t be disappointed.

What to Do: Play in the surf, snorkel, surf, scuba dive, fish on the pier, and enjoy daily walks or jogs up and down El Mar Drive with fellow exercisers.

Where to Snack: No trip to a Florida beach could be complete without a visit to Kilwins located at 117 Commercial Boulevard. Whether it’s ice cream, fudge or other goodies you’re looking for, you’ll find it here.

Where to Shop: Wings, the classic beach store located at 4405 North Ocean Drive, offers up souvenirs, t-shirts, bathing suits, sunscreen—anything you’ll need to make your beach vacation more comfortable.

Where to Shop: Stock up on all your favorite supplements and healthy antioxidant coffee at the Life Extension Nutrition Center, located just a couple of miles up the road at 5990 North Federal Highway.

Where to Eat: 101 Ocean, located where all the action is at the corner of Commercial Boulevard and Del Mar Drive features an open air bar, extensive wine list, yummy sandwiches and pizzas, and a really tasty appetizer Meza Plate.
