Fennel

Fennel berries, roots and stems contain clacium, oleic acid, sulfur, and vitamins A and C. The stems and fernlike leaves can be eaten fresh in salads or soups or chewed after a meal to enhance digestion, relieve gas and abdominal pain and suppress appetite. Fennel has been used to promote healthy functioning of the kidneys, liver, spleen and lungs. May help reduce the side effects of chemotherapy and radiation treatments for cancer. Also available as a tea.
