Site of the month. www.ver-taal.com

I had never heard about www.ver-taal.com until one of my students told me about it few days ago. It seems this site hasn't got a lot of publicity, but I have to tell you the material they are offering is great!

I just took a look at it, and, if you need a place to put into practice what you have learn until now, you will find lots of Spanish exercises.

Although its home page is in Spanish, you will see there are also exercises for English and Dust students. We'll see what the Spanish language section is offering us.

What can you find at www.ver-taal.com?
They offer six different areas: "Trailers", "Reportajes", "Anuncios", "Vocabulario", "Gramática" y "Cultura".

Both, Trailers and Reportajes seccions, according to what they say in the site, are for Spanish language advanced students, as they are more complicated than the rest of listening exercises in the site. The other section, called "Anuncios" is easier.

These three areas have something in common: every trailer, reportaje (dcoumental) or anuncio (commercial) includes a listening exercise, that is, you have to listen/watch the video and then answer the questions. ("Cultura" section is also offering listening exercises, as we'll see below.) And every exercise also includes a link to the Real Academia de la Lengua Spanish dictionary!

So, you can find listening exercises under Trailers, Reportajes and Anuncios.

Ok, now, let's click on "Vocabulario". And this is really good! As of today, we can find eight different groups of exercises! For example, let's go to "Vocabulario temático". Under this section there are several exercises. Each exercise includes a set of pictures, and you have to choose the right name. You can also listen to each of them.

Every exercise is classified either for beginner/intermediate/advanced.
Apart from this set of exercises, you can find more about "Problemas léxicales", "Juegos de memoria", "Crucigramas" (Crosswords), "Vocabulario práctico", "Juego del ahorcado" (Hangman), to name a few!

For all those willing to improve grammar, you can also find a set of grammar exercises, most of them with audio, and very interactive, about numbers, verbs, articles, etc.

Finaly, the section "Cultura" includes promotional videos and short documentals about different Spanish speaking countries Every section will take you to a set of videos. And every video includes a listening exercise to complete.

I noticed this site includes new material quite often, and the best part is that everything is completely free!

I think this site could be helpful because of the quality of the materials they offer, so I hope you like it!
