Seducing a Scottish Bride

Hello, and welcome back! It appears that winter has given up here. Even though the first day of spring isn't until the end of the week, the temps here indicate Mother Nature has already shifted seasons. So I guess I should be satisfied with my one half decent snow and hope for better next winter. Somehow, that doesn't make me feel better.

This time out, I have the latest from Sue-Ellen Welfonder. She's always a favorite here, as she's a fabulous author, not to mention a very nice lady. Seducing a Scottish Bride (Grand Central) takes us back to her favorite place in the world, the Highlands of Scotland. Gelis MacKenzie has visions, though that doesn't seem to taint her popularity when suitors come calling. But the man in her latest vision believes in the curse on his family, and he doesn't come courting for romance. But Ronan MacRuari doesn't know just how determined Gelis can be when she believes in something, and she believes she and her Raven can have a happily ever after. To get there, however, Ronan will have to believe in love and that they can overcome the curse on his clan. Gelis is a spirited heroine, no simpering miss, but anyone who's ever read a Welfonder book knows a good Highland heroine has to be able to stand on her own, beside her man without waiting for rescue. And Ronan is a lovely Scottish hero, tortured, and yet unable to resist his mate. Does it get any better? Well, if you're reading a Sue-Ellen Welfonder book and you get the very interesting Devorgilla appearing in this story as she has in past tales. It has been far too long since Ms. Welfonder's last historical, and I'm hoping it's much sooner till the next one hits bookstore shelves. Gelis and Ronan's story is set in one of the most beautiful places in the world, and one of my favorite places to go, and they make it even better with their magical romance. I'm borrowing four of Cupid's five arrows for this one.

And until next time, happy reading!
