Independent Educational Evaluations

An independent educational evaluation is indicated when your child's IEP team disagree with the advice of private therapists or medical professionals involved in your child's care after they have determined that support services or educational supports are necessary for your child to make adequate progress toward educational, social or other goals. An independent educational evaluation may also be indicated when your child is obviously making no progress or is losing skills and you believe it is due to an inadequate or ineffective IEP, or the school staff and administration are not able to provide adequate services that are addressed in the IEP.
