Molly Burrows is a ten-year-old living in the shadow of her older sister – the famous, amazing Allie! Allie has made a name for herself with her astounding fastball pitch.She is so famous that TV cameras and reporters follow her around like gnats.
Another frustrating thing is that their dad is their coach, and he’s so caught up with Allie’s accomplishments that he overlooks Molly.
At least, that is, until dad finds the team short an essential player and so he reluctantly drafts Molly up from the minors. This however, brings its own problems and issues.
Both girls call their dad on the fact that he’s working harder on being a coach than on being a father – he looks introspectively and admits his error. Once he relaxes then everyone can have fun, and in the end Molly shows that she also becomes an ace player – as a catcher for Allie’s phenomenal pitching!
