| The International PHP Magazine is published by Software and Support Verlag GmbH. It is published bi-monthly and is a great magazine that can keep you up to date with the latest and best in the world of PHP. International PHP Magazine originated as a German language publication called PHP Magazin. Due to its popularity and numerous requests for an English version, Software and Support began publication of an English version called International PHP Magazine in 2003. And starting in January 2004, they now offer a monthly on-line version of the International PHP Magazine which they call the PHP Magazine. Whether you are a beginner or advanced PHP programmer, the International PHP Magazine has something for anyone interested in PHP. In fact there is one section of the magazine dedicated to the PHP beginner called Start Up. Another section that I found very useful is the Enterprise section. Here you will find articles about the use of PHP in real-life situations. I also appreciated the Tools and Reviews section which has reviews of the latest PHP books and helpful programming tools. If you are interested in the development of PHP extensions, check out the Internals section. Some of the other aspects of PHP that are covered are databases, development, enhancement, and using PHP with other languages. Those who subscribe to the International PHP Magazine will receive it by mail. Those who subscribe to the on-line version called PHP Magazine can download each issue in PDF format from the International PHP Magazine website. If you want to try it out before you buy, you can download the free trial issue (January 2004) of the magazine. You can subscribe to both versions of the magazine at the website.
