To create this updo, Selina curled every piece of hair (except for the front or bang area) in a tight corkscrew curl, using a small curling iron. She then smoothed each spiral curl and pulled it up into the top, turned it over or coiled it and pinned it there using a hidden bobby pin. Using patience and planning, Selina placed each curl to form the large cluster. Don't be afraid to move the curls around to achieve the picture you want.
The front or bang area is smoothed to either side. The ends can be pinned underneath the curls at the back. If the ends are not long enough to pin, tuck them behind the ears and spray with firm hold hairspray.
Selina accented the curls with pearls that were strung onto bobby pins. Any bead that has a hole through it can be used for ornamentation. Simply string a bead - or two - onto a bobby pin and insert the bobby pin into the style, making sure not to disturb the curls.
