In my opinion, if working one-to-one, it is useful for older special needs children on their longer learning curve.
I spent a summer working with babies and toddlers and there was so much improvement in muscle tone and coordination noticeable over just 3 months.
It is good to have a book like this to use as a reference guide to what is possible with your baby and toddler. It also provides a rough measurement of how your child is progressing with motor skill development.
Working together with your baby, one-to-one, is a bonding activity, and a positive way of relating that does not include the frustrations that may arise in trying to 'teach' an advanced skill later.
Babies are so open with their smiles that every new advancement is a joy to behold.
As a bonus, Baby Steps includes developmental charts and advice on appropriate age-related toys.
