Moving to Canada - site goals

The moving to Canada portion of the site is pretty self explanatory. It is meant to provide all the information you need and want when moving to Canada or even just across it. Moving can be a stressful time but adding in the idea of not knowing anything about the area you are moving to, can make the situation even worse. That is why my goal will be to make life a little easier for you, I will be adding information regularly so check back often or sign up for the newsletter that lets you know when there is something new.

Information on areas across Canada both big cities and smaller towns will be a big part of this section. I will provide you with a clearer picture of what the area is really like and you can decide for yourself if it is for you. If you are a family of six looking for a quiet area with a big yard for the dog to run, you probably would not want to find yourself in an noisy city that is made up of two bedroom condos and a parking pad for a backyard.

Like to know what "special features" come along with an area? Where is the local zoo and what is the fishing like? How far away is the mall and what are the schools like? You can find all this and more here, plus you can also check out the tourist info page on each province to see much more of what is offered.

Canada's housing market is constantly changing but what people think their house value is usually stays the same (unless of course the appraised amount is higher). So to make sure you do not spend over what the house is actually worth at the time I will provide information on what the market is doing and even some interviews with local real estate agents.

Some areas in Canada are known for being a "fishing town" others are littered with oil rigs. If your job revolves around forestry it probably is not a good idea moving to an area that is made up of sky scrapers and not a tree in site. In order to avoid this situation make sure your read the information I give on the areas economy.

As always if you have any questions about a certain area or anything at all really, feel free to send me an email and I will do the best I can to answer all your questions. If you would like to get more then just my opinion on a subject, post your question in our forum. The forum is a very welcoming and helpful community filled with real people with their own opinions and ideas, you are sure to find everything you want here.
