Step 8. Add the drop shadow. You now will add the drop shadow to the oval opening. This will create the illusion that your photo is setting underneath the oval opening in the card. Click Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow from the Menubar. Set the following values in the Drop Shadow dialog box.

Offset
Vertical: 10
Horizontal: 10
Attributes
Opacity: 100
Blur: 25
Color: Black
Shadow on new layer: No

Repeat this step again using a -10 for the vertical and horizontal offset values.

Step 9. Add the weave texture to the ring. Go to the Menubar and click Effects > Texture Effects > Weave. Set the following values in the Weave dialog box.

Gap size: 25
Width: 75
Opacity: 100
Weave and Gap Colors: Black
Fill Gaps: Checked

Step 10. Add your photo. You have already imported your photo into the Paint Shop Pro program from your digital camera or a scanner. Now you will cut and paste your photo under your card. First create a new layer for the photo to sit on. From the Menubar click Layers > New Raster Layer. Use the default values in the New Raster Layer dialog box and click OK. Now you will put this new layer behind the card. Click Layers > Arrange > Send to Bottom. Copy and paste your photo into the card and move it around until the photo is centered inside the empty oval. Now set the photo in place by clicking your mouse button. Finish the layers by clicking Selections > Select None and then Layers > Merge > Merge All Flatten. You're done! Save your image to your computer.

Step 11. Print your card. You will first want to print a test copy. Set the print quality on your printer to draft. Click File > Print Layout to open the Print Layout dialog box. Drag the thumbnail of your card onto the letter sized print template (default) and place it on the bottom half of the template. Now click File > Print to test your card. When you are ready to print the cards for your family and friends, change the print quality back to the original setting and print.
