If you aren't subscribed to the newsletter or haven't stopped by the forum, you're missing out. I currently have a book giveaway happening over in the forum right now: Jo Beverley's
Three Heroes (NAL). You do have to be a registered forum user to participate, but registration is free and painless. All the giveaway rules are in the forum, and while you're there, check out some of the ongoing discussions as well! And, hey, if you don't snag this one, I still have two more books sitting here waiting to be given away! Good luck!
When I said my reading pile was thin, I wasn't kidding. I have just two June books left, and four July (and one of those isn't even a romance). The book I wanted to share with you this week is Jill Shalvis's
White Heat (Onyx). Griffin Moore just wants to be left alone, but when his brother badgers him into going to Mexico to fight a fire in a remote area, he finds out he's not the only wounded soul in the world. Lyndie Anderson likes to think she's a loner, too, but there are a few people she'll risk her life for, including some in that remote area threatened by the fire. This is a pleasant enough way to while away a few hours, including the subplot with Griffin's brother, but it didn't make me fall in love along with the characters, so it's not a keeper for me. Some of you may feel differently. Who knows? I'm borrowing three of Cupid's five arrows for it.
Until next time, happy reading!
