Currently, all games are free, with plenty to choose from. There are 20 bids allowed per person/per auction, per day for most games (the game will let you know when you've reached your limit). Players must be thirteen years of age or older and be registered account holders of wireless service with SMS service.
To start with, you may wish to click on the "GAMES" button on the player you see at the bottom of this article. This will give you a current list of available prizes to choose from. Once you decide which game you wish to play, then enter your first bid by entering the numbers without decimals (to bid $1.45 you would enter 145). On your first visit you will be asked to register your cellphone number and choose a password. You will not be spammed or hit with any hidden charges, though should you choose to play from your cellphone, standard text messaging charges will apply, so you may want to check with your cellphone provider.
Once you have made a few bids, you will receive tips to help you either "bump" the current winning bid (once two people have bid the same number it is no longer unique, so a number is "bumped" as soon as a second bidder chooses it), or to bring you closer to the lowest remaining numbers. You can keep track of your tips for each game under the "TIPS" button on the player. The "UNIQUES" button will let you know how many unique bids you have for each game, and the "PRIZES" button will keep track of any winnings for you. Checking the "STATUS" button will give you a list of the total number of entries you have made, and have remaining, for each sweeps.
Along with the wide variety of prizes available, LimboLoot are also awarded for "Lucky Bids" (random bids are chosen as lucky numbers for each game), and lesser amounts are awarded in addition to this for bidding by cellphone. LimboLoot can then be redeemed for T-shirts, CD's, and various other prizes which are available at the limbo store. (I recently ordered a T-shirt and other various goodies which are shipped free of charge, along with making a LimboLoot donation.)
LimboLoot can also be donated at the store to Virgin Unite, an organization that sends healthworkers to remote areas to deliver medication, materials, and advise, helps the homeless, and has a global program to stop people traffiking.
