AskDwayne About....Silk/Satin Scarves

Contributing writer: Dwayne Pressley

AskDwayne.com

Imagine this: you have just wrapped your hair, placed a cotton scarf over
your head and prepared for bed.

While you slept, tossing and turning throughout the night, in the morning you awake, unwrap your hair scarf and find that some pieces of hair (although not a tremendous amount) have fallen to the floor when you unwrapped your scarf (or combed out your wrap)!

Spilt ends have a tendancy to get caught on the cotton and your tossing and turning will actually pull the caught pieces out of your head. So little by little, your cotton scarf is detatching your hair from your head!

It is highly recommended that you either wrap your hair up in silk or satin scarves at night or sleep on silk or satin pillows.
