Low Carb Meal Planner

Many diet plans make you plan out your meals with a meal planner. With low carb, it's really not necessary to plan out your daily meals. If you eat low carb foods, it's generally very easy to come in under whatever your current daily carb limit might be. However, if you enjoy structure, there are easy ways to make up a daily menu plan.

First, determine what your daily carb count should be. Read the Two Week Low Carb Start if you're unsure how to get started with low carb. Let's assume for this meal planning exercise that you are at a stage where you want to stay below 40 carbs a day to lose weight.

Next, take a look at the Carb Charts. Look through for items that you really enjoy eating that are also low in carbs. For meats, this is easy. Just about every meat - from chicken to salmon, from steaks to pork chops - are zero carb. Don't ignore veggies! It is critical that you eat a lot of veggies every day. Luckily, there are a ton of veggies that are low in carb.

Make a master list for yourself of items you enjoy eating, with their carb counts. This will serve as your main game plan. Get a lot of waters, diet sodas, diet iced teas, etc. The more you drink, the more healthy you will be and the more full you will feel.

It's time for the daily recipes. I have a TON of low carb recipes in my Low Carb Recipe Area. I also have Meal Ideas for more large scale planning.

In the end, it comes to your taste buds. If you love chicken, plan out a series of chicken dishes. If salmon and tuna are more your style, there are trillions of recipes that involve those items. Think fresh, think flavors, and think healthy. Low carb is all about delicious eating!

Come by the forum and tell us your interests - and we'll help you design a meal plan which works perfectly for your taste buds!
