Are we seeing a softer, gentler side of John Kerry? Has the public misconstrued his intentions simply because of his party affiliation? John Kerry and his advisors would like you to believe so.
“I oppose abortion, personally. I don’t like abortion. I believe life does begin at conception,” Kerry was quoted in the Dubuque Telegraph Herald, in an attempt to garner popularity in Iowa.
If his opinion on the matter was actually that steadfast, why did he vote pro-abortion on thirty various bills between 1995 through 2003? One of those was an amendment that he co-sponsored himself, upholding partial-birth abortion as “an important constitutional right.”
His answer? Apparently, he does not wish to force his wholesome, Catholic, family values on fellow American citizens who have different religious beliefs.
How does Senator Kerry feel about murder or rape? Surely there are Satanists in America who believe in human sacrifice. Maybe he wants their votes, as well?
My question… How can we afford to vote into office a presidential candidate who skirts a major issue by contradicting himself so blatantly? This kind of discrepancy is a slap in the face to the most honorable office held in this country and to intelligent Americans across the nation. Vote Pro-Life; vote Bush.
