Everyone that's heard of the story of Cinderella already knows just what's going to happen in A Cinderella Story. However, there are some differences. The story has been a little updated to include, not the magical land in the fairy tale, but the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles. Instead of horses and carriages, there's convertible. And, instead of a glass slipper, there's a cell phone. In A Cinderella Story, Sam Montomery, play Hilary Duff, works at the diner, once owned by her father who passed away and left everything to her stepmother. At school, Sam is known as the Diner Girl, so you can imagine that things aren't the greatest for her. That is, until she meets the guy of her dreams online. Totally into this guy, Sam quickly learns that her dream guy is actually the most popular guy in school, Austin Ames, placed my Chad Michael Murray. This give Sam the feeling that finding true love is hopeless.

A Cinderella Story is actually a great fairy tale movie for the children. It is quite different from what you will remember from the fairy tale that you are used to. Sam has two evil stepsisters who try everything to become popular, her stepmother gets Botox about once every week. To top things off, Sam's godmother is actually the manager of the diner. But, Sam wouldn't be anywhere without her bestfriend, Carter.

So, if you are into light-hearted comedy, with a few moments of tearful emotion, then A Cinderella Story is a movie that you will surely enjoy.
