Rainbow Six is a series of games involving team action. You are the first person leader, with soldiers at your side to back you up. In Vegas, you're exploring the wilds of Mexico and Vegas.
First, the graphics. They are really impressive. This development team has definitely worked with this style of gameplay before, tuning exactly what is necessary for an immersive first person shooter. The colors and textures of items around you are very realistic. Character movement is smooth. Lighting is great. It's not glaring cartooney, nor is it super dark and hard to see. You have to pay attention to what is around you to make the wisest tactical decision.
The sounds are great. Your fellow soldiers call out ideas to you, and warn you if they disagree with something you're attempting. You get the standard charter of 'reloading' and 'take cover' which make you feel as if you're really with a group of live, intelligent fellow teammates. The soundtrack is present but subdued - you can still listen for noises, footsteps and dialogue of those around you.
