Walk Away The Pounds

Walking is a great way to blast fat and get fit and if you want amazing results the tips below from fitness expert Leslie Sansone will help you burn the fat and boost fitness levels even faster. Three super effective tips from her 5 Day Slim Down DVD, a great workout for beginners and people who want to walk indoors.

Eat Your Breakfast
Leslie explains that research studies show that breakfast skippers have more difficulty losing weight and keeping it off and that skipping breakfast also sets you up for binges and overeating. The best possible thing you can do for your body when trying to lose weight is eat breakfast within an hour or two after getting up. Two of Leslie's favorites are scrambled eggs, whole wheat toast with real butter, or a yogurt with nuts if you're on the go.

Weave In Some Strength Training
According to Leslie walking is a great way to burn calories, burn fat, and tone the lower body but if you want to sculpt lean toned legs and arms you should include strength training moves. He workouts always include kicks, side to side squats, knee raises, lunges, and standing leg curls. She also incorporates some upper body movement such as presses, curls, punches, etc. for extra calorie burning and toning.

Use Your Core to Support
Leslie explains that your core is always involved in everything you do so it's important to increase your body awareness by tucking in the abs and using them to support and stabilize when you're walking or doing any type of full body movement. Try Leslie's fullbody core move. March in place with hands clasped and arms overhead. Pump the arms down as each knee goes up and be sure to keep the abs tight as those knees go up.
