Narnia - The White Witch's Secret Police

In C. S. Lewis’s The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Queen Jardis, the White Witch’s Secret Police is a pack of wolves. Maugrim aka Fenris Ulf is their leader. He will carry out the Queen’s orders, no matter the job.

The Secret Police enjoy maiming and destroying the other creatures of Narnia. They have no conscience. The wolves are hunters who track by scent. They capture and destroy the White Witch’s enemies.

The Secret Police, headed by Maugrim, captures Mr. Tumnus. Mr. Tumnus is convicted of High Treason. Why? He fraternized with a human, Lucy Pevensie. Also, he broke Queen Jardis’ law for all humans to be brought to her. Tender-hearted Mr. Tumnus allows Lucy to escape from the witch and return to England.

The Secret Police unnecessary ramshackle gentle Mr. Tumnus’ house. There is a terrible devastation of his home. Furniture, crockery, foodstuffs and books are destroyed in a gleeful frenzy. They take the Faun to the White Witch. The wolves are well aware he will be forcibly detained and tortured.

It is the same Secret Police goon squad Queen Jardis dispatches to capture the three other Pevensie children: Peter, Susan and Lucy. The pack on hearing her command runs off, eager to do her bidding. They destroy Mr. & Mrs. Beaver's home trying to get the children and the Beavers. They attack a fox who tries to help the five fugitives.

The Secret Police are as evil as Queen Jardis. They take pleasure in hurting others. Peter Pevensie tries to avoid bloodshed while Maugrim hungers for it. Peter kills Maugrim to save his sister, Susan. Read C. S. Lewis’s The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and meet the Secret Police.
