This site will have new content at least once a week as there is always something new to read about in the current events area. To make sure that you don't miss any new articles you might like to sign up for my monthly newsletter, which will tell you all about my latest articles and what is coming up soon.
It will also give you a glimpse of what is happening around the site and any other items of interest that I come across. Sometimes a news story is not big enough to be written as a full article but is still interesting, or amusing enough to pass on to you. When I come across these they will go into my newsletter.
If you look to the right of this article you will see the sign up box. It's labelled 'Free Newsletter'. All you have to do is to type in your email address and I'll do the rest. This is all the information that's needed and you won't be asked to fill in more details after you have done this. We won't sell, share or forward your information to anyone. I don't even get to know who has signed up as this is confidential information. You can unsubscribe any time you want and also rejoin any time you want.
Once you have signed up you will receive a confirmation email so that you can check that your spam filter will let us through. Please check you spam box if you don't receive our confirmation email and if you need to please add us to your 'white list'. You will never receive anything that you didn't sign up for and that includes newsletters from other editors and adverts. You will just get my newsletter and any others that you have subscribed to.
The Current Events site aims to give you the latest news on topical issues from all over the world. It covers items from Europe, US and the world in general on topics as diverse as global warming, politics, world conflicts, conservation, financial matters and lighter, more off beat news items from around the globe. What I'm aiming for here is a good mix of topics so that there is something for everyone, no matter where they live in the world.
There is also a Current Events forum where you can join in discussions about the articles included, or start your own topics. Please feel free to comment and suggest ideas for articles and discussions. If you have a news item that you would like to see covered on the Current Events site, please let me know and I will look into it.
Type your email address into the subscribe box and sit back and wait for your newsletters to arrive.
