New Season of Little People, Big World

Everybodyís favorite family is back when the Roloff family show Little People, Big World starts it new season on The Learning Channel (TLC) Mondays starting April 9.

If, you havenít watched Little People, Big World or donít know who the Roloff family is, let me introduce this real family of little and average size people.

Matt Roloff is the Dad
Matt is a successful business man, whose dwarfism as a child kept him in the hospital have many painful surgeries. His imagination and day dreams kept his spirit alive while he recuperated. Matt decided that his children would never lack for the adventure and fun any child should experience. The family bought a working farm and Matt continues working hard in business and continues working hard for Little Peoples rights. He was a former president of Little People of America (LPA) and is working on the LPAís 50th Anniversary National Conference in 2007 at Seattle WA.

Amy, the Mom
Amy is a working mom as full time preschool teacher and part time for a local soccer club. She manages the household of four children, with their homework, social lives and extracurricular activities. She has a no-nonsense approach to life, a nice complement to Matt the constant dreamer.

The Twins
Fraternal twins the 16 year olds brothers Zack and Jeremy are as different as night and day. Zack is a little person and Jeremy is normal size. The differences donít end there.
Zack is his motherís son, brings home A s and B s and even plays soccer. He has had complications due to his size and has had a few surgeries

Jeremy is like his father, and gets excited over his fatherís projects and schemes.

Average size Molly holds her own with her three brothers. She has a 4.0 grade average and plays volleyball. She occasionally gets caught up in her father and brothersí crazy ideas, but she still likes to be off by herself doing girl stuff.

Already taller than his parents at nine, he is the youngest. He plays soccer with his mom as his coach.

I highly recommend this show for a variety of reasons. The b>Roloff family are great people who live life with a zest. The second thing I love about the show, is that it teaches us that people are different in appearance and experiences and that we should be able to appreciate the diversity of us all.

Happy Viewing
