Free Things to Do in Miami
I love to visit Miami every year. There are tons of things that I cherish doing every year and I also find new things to do every time I visit. As the cost of living continues to increase, everyone is looking for free things to do. Here a few great free things to do if you decide to visit Miami:
*Visit the beach in South Beach (the southern most section of Miami Beach) - This is my favorite thing to do in Miami…visit the beach in South Beach. You can bring your own chair and blanket, a good book for you and a few toys for the kids and enjoy a complete day here. Pack a nice lunch and a few snacks and you will have a blast! (Don’t forget your sunscreen)! When you are tired of sitting, get some exercise in by strolling along the coastline and watching the sun set. You can also bring a kite and have some fun flying your kites on the beach.
*Take a walk on the boardwalk. There are a ton of stores and restaurants all along the boardwalk in South Beach. There are plenty of photo opportunities along the way also.
*Visit the Miami Art Museum The Miami Art Museum is conveniently located in downtown Miami’s Cultural Center Plaza. Admission is free every second Saturday of the month.
*Visit the Wolfsonian Museum The Wolfsonian-FIU is a museum located in the heart of historic Miami Beach. They offer free admission every Friday after 6pm.
*Stop by Little Havana - Little Havana is home to colorful murals, monuments to heroes and has a deep Cuban culture. You can take a stroll thru and enjoy the sites.
*Take a stroll on Lincoln Road. Lincoln Road is an outside pedestrian mall consisting of a few blocks of various premier stores and restaurants. There are also a few art galleries along this strip.
*Visit the Holocaust Memorial of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation.
The Holocaust Memorial offers free admission every day of the week.
