To the person who is afraid of Gay Rights, Gay Marriage, Gay Families, and Gay people in general:

So what if gay men and woman want the same domestic rights as every other straight person in this country. What is all the ‘hoopla’ about? And gay adoption, what is so wrong with giving a child the chance to be part of a family instead of being lost in the ‘system’ or rotting away in an institution? Too many kids need a good home, and don’t worry about whether they will have two mommies or daddies, or just a mom or dad, or simply one or the other. If we think about giving children the best chance, isn’t a gay home better than no home? Just because a child is raised in a gay household doesn’t mean that the child will be gay themselves. If people are so worried about what consenting adults do behind closed doors, then butt out and don’t look! If you are worried about two loving people getting their relationship legalized and accepted like any other heterosexual person, then turn off the television or worry about your own relationship. He states his opinion isn’t “rooted in intolerance and hatred”, nor “breed from ignorance and backward thinking”, then why is there intolerance and backward thinking in his piece? For one who isn’t a homophobe, why does he compare the fight for domestic equality with that of a person wanting to marry their dog, marry two persons at once, or marry multiple persons.

I say allow gay men and woman the same domestic rights as any heterosexual person. Allow gay men and women the right to help children in need and give kids in institutions a chance at a loving home. Don’t compare gay marriage rights to polygamy, bestiality, and threesome marriage when it is not. What GLBT persons are asking for is the right for TWO people to marry as any other TWO heterosexual people have the right to. Say YES to equality, and if you don’t care about what two consenting adults do behind closed doors, just butt out and keep your opinion to yourself!
