Fresh Crab Dip

A great dip for your casual or formal event. Even people who don't like seafood will enjoy this subtle, yet tasty mix. Serve it with vegetables, chips, or crackers.

1/4 cup mayonnaise
3/4 cup crème fraîche
1 teaspoon finely grated lemon zest
1-1/2 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon garlic, minced
2 pounds lump crabmeat, cartilage removed
Salt and pepper to taste

1.In a large bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, crème fraîche, lemon zest, tabasco, nutmeg, garlic, salt and pepper.
2. Gently fold in the crabmeat.
3. Keep covered and in refrigerator until ready to serve.
-Makes 40 servings
