Excited about the new Indiana Jones movie - Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull that is coming out later this month?
Get in the mood for Indy by watching the Harrison Ford movies that started it all - Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and Indiana Jones and the The Last Crusade today (Saturday, May 10 and Sunday, May 11) on the USA Network.
The movies on Saturday, May 10 will start at 3/2 CT with the last film in the trilogy Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, followed by the second movie Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom at 6/5 CT. The original movie and my favorite, Raiders of the Lost Ark will show at 8:30/7:30 p.m. CT.
On Sunday, May 10, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade will start at 8 a.m. CT, followed by Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom at 10:30 a.m. CT, and finishing with Raiders of the Lost Ark at 1 p.m. CT.
In case it's been a while since you've seen these gems, here's a short blurb about each film:
Raiders of the Lost Ark - Archeologist and expert in the occult, Dr. Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) is hired by the government to find the Ark of the Covenant, which is believed to hold the Ten Commandments. Unfortunately, Indiana isn't the only one after the Ark - agents of Hitler also are looking for it and will go to any length to get it in their possession. Indy and his former flame Marion (Karen Allen) go through adventure after adventure in their quest that takes them from Nepal to Cairo.
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom - Dr. Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) teams up with night club singer (Kate Capshaw) and a 12-year-old named Short Round. They end up in an Indian village where people believe evil spirits have taken their children away after a sacred stone was stolen. Indiana agrees to try and retrieve the stone for the village.
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade - Three years after recovering the Ark of the Convenant, Dr. Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) recovers an artifact that he found as a kid, the Cross of Francisco de Coronado, from treasure hunters. He then discovers the history of another artifact, The Holy Grail - which his missing father Henry Jones (Sean Connery) is looking for. Father and son become involved in the search while fighting the Nazis to reach it.
The new movie Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull will be headed to theaters on May 22 featuring Harrison Ford, Shia LaBeouf (from Transformers and Disturbia), Cate Blanchett, Karen Allen, John Hurt, Ray Winstone and Jim Broadbent.
In Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Indiana is called back to action when he becomes entangled in a Soviet plot to uncover the secret behind mysterious artifacts known as the Crystal Skulls.
Be sure to discuss your favorite scenes from the first three movies in the Specialty Channels forum.
