A Little History
The history of Argosy University began with the combination of three schools with three distinct areas of educational focus: American Schools of Professional Psychology, the Medical Institute of Minnesota, and the University of Sarasota. The combination of these three schools created Argosy University, an academic institution that serves the needs of adult students in four academic programs areas: education, business, health sciences and psychology.
Today at University name
Argosy University is a private institution of higher education dedicated to providing high quality professional educational programs at doctoral, master's bachelor's and associate's degree, as well as continuing education to advance professional and personal lives. Argosy University emphasizes programs in the behavioral sciences, business, education, and the health care professions. A limited number of pre-professional programs and general education offerings are provided that help students prepare for entry into professional fields.
All Argosy faculty complete approximately 100 hours of training through Socrates, which sets the standard for excellence in online faculty instruction. This training equips each instructor with the skills and knowledge to support adult learner success.
