Our award shows might take a note from the BAFTA, since it’s commercial-free. Yes that’s right commercial-free!

Just like our award shows here in the U.S., BAFTA is attended by biggest stars and is considered a barometer of who will walk away with the golden Oscar. BAFTA is hosted by Tim Muffett (BBC Liquid News).

Last year The Lord of the Rings, Return of the King swept the awards and Renee Zellweger won best supporting actress before going to Hollywood to pick up of her Oscar.

I learned about this award show just recently and I am interested in seeing who wins this compared to the Oscars this year. So tune into the BAFTA’s and see what you think of this award show premiering February 12 at 3:10 p.m., ET and re airs at 9:00p.m. ET/PT, from London England. BAFTA Red Carpet Special is a BBC America original production will air before the re aired BAFTA Film Awards and will start a half an hour earlier (8:30) complete with red carpet interviews.
