Preparation - Add the olive oil, minced garlic and minced onion to a 2 to 3 quart microwave safe casserole. Cook on full power for 1 minute. Stir in the tomato puree, sugar and seasonings. Cover and cook on full power for 2 minutes; stop and stir. Cover and cook on full power for 2 to 3 more minutes or until thick and bubbly; stir. Add the parmesan cheese and stir to blend well. Serve over hot pasta. For meat sauce - Brown 1 lb. lean ground beef in a skillet; drain. Stir the browned ground beef into the prepared sauce.
