After searching sites for information concerning the actors who played the James Bond character, it appears that Roger Moore is the second most popular and Pierce Brosnan is the the third. Other Bond actors seem to be just a footnote in the long Bond movie history. Of course, Sean Connery will always be remembered at "The original" and best known James Bond.

Roger Moore starred in the TV series The Saint, the Simon Templar character before he became Jame Bond. The Saint started on British television in 1962, but was produced in the U.S. from 1963 to 1969. I think the Simon Templar character is much smoother and sexier than the James Bond character. Roger Moore is excellent as the handsome, dashing and slightly roguish detective. However, my favorite Simon Templar is George Sanders. Sanders starred as The Saint in the 1930s b/w movie series.
