Starbucks and Fairtrade Meet With Rwanda Coffee Farmers

In Kigali, Rwanda, Starbucks came together with the Fair Trade Foundation and Fairtrade Labelling Organisations International. Their purpose was to meet with a farmer’s cooperative, Dukunde Kawa, to discuss Fair Trade initiatives going forward into 2015.

Kyagalanyi Coffee Gets Modern Machinery

While we enjoy the latest in technological developments in the United States, many countries whose exports we enjoy are not so fortunate. We enjoy with ease our morning cup, but we have no idea how long and arduous the road to our cup really is.
Take for example Kyagalanyi Coffee. Facing natural issues like coffee wilt, a fungus that attacks coffee plants and the lack of modern equipment, their future was seriously threatened, but thanks to the US Agency for International Development and the Coffee Research Institute, help is on the way.

Pensioners' Coffee Morning Banned for Health and Safety Reasons

When I first read this, I thought it was another study, but turns out they are worried about a group of retired citizens in the UK spilling coffee on children in the library, even though they have been coming there for years without any such incidents.
