Road Salt Effects on Auto Paint

Well, here up North, the temperatures have finally reached zero and I couldn't wash my car even if I wanted to! All the car washes close when the temps get so low that ice forms on the water pipes. My black car is now white! The salt has invaded not only the outside of my car, but in crevices around my lights and in between my doors! I can't stand it when I have no control of situations! But I love having peace of mind! Don't get me wrong, I'm not the least bit worried--I maintained my car's finish and crevices by protecting my car with all the waxing I did during the warmer months. This is the very bit of peace of mind I mentioned before about knowing you are protected from the harsh elements of winter--I haven't lost a bit of sleep on these cold nights! I can rest and be assured that when I do wash my car, it will look its best!

While washing your vehicles this winter, rememeber to use the wash that waxes and blow dries--at least you'll have protection until your next wax come next Spring! Stay warm and drive safely! Marie
