Blunt Haircut and Undercut

Hair that is all one length is called a blunt cut. A precise blunt cut is carefully trimmed so that all the hair reaches one level. This type of haircut causes the hair to appear thicker and heavier than it would with a layer cut. One characteristic of this style, considered by some as a drawback, is that it is flat on top. The ends will also be straight unless encouraged to curl with styling product and curling iron.

One length hair that is around chin length is often called a bob.

One length hair that is shoulder length or longer is often called a page.

Undercut
A variation of the blunt cut is the undercut. In this style, the underneath layers are trimmed slightly shorter to encourage the ends on top to curl under. Undercutting softens the look of the style and can often eliminate the need for curling it.
