Book Review on Tatting Fantasia

Iris Neibach has recently written a number of books and a new e-book which are available from Tatting Online. She very kindly sent me copies of her books for review and they are so lovely that I feel every tatter should include copies on their bookshelves.

Tatting Fantasia is a delightful collection of twelve patterns - three doilies, three hexagonal motifs, three square motifs and three wide edgings. This is not a large collection but the patterns are fully diagrammed and illustrated very clearly. They are not for the beginner - the doilies in particular are quite complex and involved - but have the great advantage of being designed so that the number of starts and finishes is minimal. In fact, this is true of all of her pieces.

The book is professionally produced in soft covers and is printed in full colour, on quality paper and cover boards. It is staple bound.

There is some two colour work as well as all white tatting, so I do feel that this is a book which will please the intermediate to advanced tatter. Beginners put this on your bookshelves for use in the future but you should get it whilst it is available in print.
