Canadian Living Review

Canadian Living is one of Canadaís leading womenís magazine and for good reason. The magazines editorís have done such a great job providing us with everything we could possibly need including the latest health and fitness tips, vacation ideas, and even what to make for supper, but is this magazine right for you?

I often pick up a copy of this magazine for myself I love reading their do it yourself tips like their decorating ideas that leave your house looking as if you hired an interior decorator. This of course is not the only good aspect of the magazine; in fact one of the things I like most about Canadian Living is their ability to cover so many subjects making it a great choice for readers of just about any taste.

I often host events at my home and I love to get creative with them whenever possible, once again Canadian Living steps in with amazing ideas for menu choices, entertainment ideas and even how to manage my time when planning. Another love of mine is cooking in fact it is one of my favourite pastimes. This is probably why my favourite part of this magazine is there recipe section which never fails to offer mouth watering meals (with pictures of course) to help you plan a perfect supper.

Though I do enjoy reading this magazine thoroughly there is a few downsides. If you are looking for a magazine the whole family will want to read this may not be it. Even though it has plenty of different subjects inside it is still based towards a women audience so if your hubby is like mine he will probably want to skip over this choice. As for their recipes, I know I listed them as my favourite part and well, they are, but I will also put them under dislikes for the simple reason that if you are a beginner cook some of the recipes may be a little advanced, time consuming and somewhat expensive. So if you are buying the magazines simply for their recipes I suggest first taking a quick glance at them before ringing it through the till to see if they are what you are looking for.

My final dislike about the magazine is that it offers so many cute and unique MUST HAVE gift ideas each and every month that my hubby tends to give me the evil eye when I flash out my credit card to buy myself yet another "something special". Yes, I know this is not REALLY a dislike but I just thought I would give a fair warning for all of you shopaholics out there.
Now after reading all of my Canadian Living likes and dislikes I invite you all to pick up a copy for yourself at your local magazine stand or groceries store check out. If you enjoy it as much as I do then you will also be happy to know that a one year subription is only $23.98 (within Canada) that is less then $2 a month!
