No matter what weather we are subjected to, if you wash your car in the Automatic Car Wash or by hand, your hinges on your doors, trunk and hood are subject to corrosion from water and dirt particles. WD-40 is something everyone should have in their vehicle!
Because I wash my car regularly and the weather has warranted salt on the roads, I can expect my door's hinges to be a little squeaky. I once bought another brand that compared itself to WD-40 but It didn't even come close! Honestly, I had been using the other brand for a while. Using it at least once a week or so! I was in the Auto Detailing Department of Wal-Mart and I noticed a can of WD-40. The price was just over a dollar and I recalled using the other brand and not quite feeling satisfied with the results. I purchased the WD-40 and while I was detailing my car, I sprayed a generous amount on my door's hinges and instantly, the sqeaking was gone! I probably didn't even need the amount I applied. I found that I would have to apply a whole lot of the other brand only to get the same sqeaking. With WD-40, there was absolutely no sound or squeaking AT ALL--it works instantly. My doors open and close freely and easily--the way they're supposed to. I recommend WD-40 for all lubricating implements for your vehicle. It's a very good product. I've tried the rest and I found the best. I keep a can in my trunk and in my inventory cabinet for my customers. Drive safely. Marie
