Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life is an action-packed film. In Lara Croft’s(Angelina Jolie) quest to save Pandora box, she travels around the planet.
The film begins on Greece’s Santorini Island during an earthquake. The earthquake dislodges a code in the form of a sphere. Break the code and the mythical Pandora box can be located.
The code is taken by a Chinese crime lord. He wants the box open. An open Pandora box is not healthful for mankind. Off goes Lara(Angelina Jolie) on her quest to stop him.
The armchair Southeast Asia Travel reader will find the Great Wall of China and the famous terra cotta Soldiers of Xian of interest. The soldiers are copies, but the artisans did an expert job.
The Hong Kong scenes include both day and night views of Hong Kong Island. The night scenery is so clear; the film viewer can read the lit words on the skyscrapers. In the daylight shots, the Victoria Harbor blue waters dominate the foreground. Barges, pleasure boats and other water craft ply the waters.
The Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre with its bird-like sculptured roof is prominent on the island’s shore side. This is the building where on June 30, 1997 the British Governor handed over Hong Kong to the Peoples’ Republic of China.
The motion picture features the International Financial Center(IFC) Two. This is the eighty-eight story building from which she parachutes. The upward camera shot through the atrium's glass ceiling reveals the great height of the building.
Walk with Lara and view the IFC Mall. The smooth marble interior is as sleek and cool as Lara Croft (Angelina Jolie).
The film displays modern life on a sampan. It presents the boat's technological trappings.
