Book Review - Angels on Assignment

Michael and his wife embark on separate vacations for the first time in their marriage. While waiting for his flight to board, Michael stops in at one of the airport gift shops, where he enjoys visiting with the shop owner. She gives him a gift. Although he doesn't typically wear jewelry, he is touched and immediately places the pin on his lapel. When Michael arrives at his destination, he's informed that he hadn't been expected until the following week and that there is no possibility of obtaining a room. Stranded, he returns to his car. Michael suddenly remembers the conversation with the shop owner, who had mentioned that she frequently visits another resort in the same area. He checks his map and sets off to find it. He's successful, but when he enters the lobby, he's again told that there's "no room at the inn," and even if there was, the resort is "members only". When one of the desk staff notices his lapel pin, the story changes and he is shown to a room.

Upon meeting some of the other guests, Michael finds out that they are all angels - and they're on vacation. He's taken under a few wings and learns that their assignment is to remind him of things he already knows but has forgotten. Michael witnesses some amazing sights and has some wild experiences in the process. Before he leaves, the angels share a powerful meditation with Michael that you may want to note and use yourself. The conclusion doesn't confirm whether Michael's vacation was real or a dream and we are left to form our own opinion. If Michael's experience is indeed a dream, the symbolism would be a fun challenge to analyze!

Written in an easy to read and fun style, profound statements are dispersed throughout. Some are in bold print and others just leap off the page. If you are already on a spiritual journey, you will have many "aha!" moments as well as inspiration for reflection. If you're just beginning, this book will jump start your journey. Wherever you are on your path, you'll get in touch with the wisdom you were created with but have long forgotten, and you'll reconnect with your higher self.

I could not put this book down. It is the most inspirational book I have read since The Celestine Prophecy. This book will change the way you think about your life and your dreams. It confirms French Philospher Teilhard DeChardin's statement that ".....rather we are spiritual beings having a physical experience."

The author also includes a comprehensive list of resources at the end of the book. If you enjoy the teachings of authors like Wayne W. Dyer, Louise L. Hay and Deepak Chopra, Angels on Assignment will take you a step further.

Most Highly recommended!

May all your dreams come true!
