The best way to reach Victoria Peak on Hong Kong Island is on the Peak Tram. It is the oldest form of public transportation on the island. The Peak Tram has been in operation since 1888. The Star Ferry and the Victoria Peak Tram vie for the most popular tourist destination.
The Victoria Peak Tram is in operation seven days a week, including holidays. It operates from 7:00 A.M. to 12 midnight each day. Trams leave every fifteen minutes for the seven minute ascents.
The view from the Victoria Peak Tram is spectacular. The night view of Victoria Harbor lights is marvelous.
The Victoria Peak Tram ends at the Peak Tower which stands 396 meters high. The tower contains shopping, restaurants and entertainment.
