Born in 1962 in Long Island, New York this woman has fit a lot into her short life: Comedian, actress, broadway diva, talk show host, magazine mogul, producer, mother of four, partner and then spouse to Kelli Carpenter - O'Donnell. Ro has kept herself busy. Now that the show's called it a day and the million dollar lawsuit is over (Yeah Rosie!) she can relax. No, not really.Rosie is keeping in touch with friends, family, fans and enemies with her blog. Yes folks. Rosie is still spreading the word. Hers! And as usual she ain't bashful to talk about the hot topics important to her; family, politics and everything in between. Rosie still has her hand in producing and acting but surprisingly she's involved herself in another creative outlet, art. Rosie's art is available online at Pop International Galleries, Inc. Her work entails a collection of mixed media and collages. Bright colours and images of her self are a prime focus. The pieces are intense, thought provoking and at times just plain playful. Not surprisingly, proceeds from the sales go to Rosie's Broadway Kids "an arts organization dedicated to enriching the lives of children through the arts."
Patrick Spreng seems to be the complete authority on everything Rosie (and a few other celebrities). At acme.com you can find just about everything you wanted to know about Rosie. He seems to know more about her than she does. In 1998 he published Everything Rosie: The Ultimate Guide for Rosie O'Donnell Fans.
Rosie bared her own soul in her own book when she chose to write Find Me in 2002. A follow-up to this inside look will be the documentary on gay family vacations in production this year.
Despite the loss of a wonderful TV talk show, Rosie hasn't tucked her entertainment shoes in the closet yet. Thank goodness for Rosie.
