    Sewing Instructions:

Preparation: Cut out all the shapes according to the instructions above and place them on your work surface ready to sew together. To help you here’s a template map to help you identify the various pieces and their location.

To print out the template map Click here.

Step 1: The Rings block is made up of three rows, the top and bottom rows being identical. So let’s make them first. Here’s a diagram of the top and bottom row (the bottom row is turned upside down when completed).

Step 2: The corner units are made by taking one F (green) piece and sewing a G (red)piece to either long side of the F (green) rectangle.

Then taking two E pieces (green) (ensuring they are facing the right way up and in the right direction) sew an E (green) to each end of the GFG unit.

Now take a H (cream) piece and piece it to the top left side of the EGFGE unit.

Finally taking a C (cream) piece, piece it to the bottom right side of the HEGFGE unit. Well done you’ve made the hardest piece first and now it’s time to make the other three units.

Step 3: Now for the middle unit. It’s quite easy. Firstly, here’s the diagram.

Step 4: Take an F (green) piece and sew a G (red) to either side of the F rectangle.

Then take a B (cream) piece and sew it to the long edge of the FGF unit.

Now it’s time to sew the top row together.

Create the top row by sewing a corner unit onto either side of the middle unit. Tadaa! Your first row is completed.

Do the same five more times to create the six top and bottom units required for this table topper.

Step 5: The centre row is very simple also. Here’s the diagram.

Take a F (red) piece and sew a G (green) piece to either long side of the F (red) piece.

Take a B (cream) piece and sew it to the long side of the FGF unit. Repeat the above for the unit on the opposite side.

Take the A (cream) piece and sew a FGFB unit to either side of the A piece. The middle row completed.

Place the three rows in front of you on your work surface.

Firstly, sew the top row to the centre row, making sure to match the seam where they touch.

Press the seams to the middle row.

Lastly, sew the bottom row to the centre row, again, making sure to match the seam where they touch.

Press the seams to the middle row. Congratulations your first of three blocks is made.

Continue in this same routine to make all three blocks.

Part two consists of the diagrams, templates and instructions to create the gorgeous Christmas Bells on your “Ringing the Bells” Table Topper.
