Meet The Parents

Greg Focker is a registered nurse who’s all set to pop the question to his girlfriend, Pam. Before doing so, Greg has to do one thing—meet Pam’s parents, Jack and Dina. But Greg’s plans don’t go as smoothly as anticipated when he immediately begins to butt heads with Jack, who also happens to be a former CIA operative and doesn’t take anyone who wants to marry his daughter lightly. Will Greg and Pam get their happily ever after? Here are a few movie mistakes to look for while watching “Meet the Parents”.

∙ After Greg tells Pam about the lie detector incident, he wakes up the next morning with Jinx the cat and Jack near his bed. At first, the blanket that’s covering him is at the top of his right shoulder, near his face. In the next view of him, the blanket is pulled down, near his chest. A few moments later the blanket is pulled back up to his right shoulder.

∙ Just before Jack comes into the room, Greg and Pam are talking about the movie “Top Gun”. In the front views of Greg, Pam’s hands are under the hood of his grey sweater. However, during the front views of Pam, her hands are above the hood.

∙ After the rehearsal dinner for Pam’s sister and her fiancée, everyone is back at the house when Greg confronts Jack about still working for the government. During the scene, Jack is on Pam’s left side, with his arm around her. When he starts to say that Greg was right, his arm isn’t around her anymore. But in the next close-up view, his arm and hand are back in their original positions, around Pam.

∙ Also during this scene, the part in Pam’s hair changes. It’s originally on the right side of her head. But, when Greg leaves a few moments later and Pam walks out of the house after him, the part in her hair is now on the left side of her head.

“Meet the Parents” (2000) stars Robert DeNiro, Ben Stiller, Teri Polo, Blythe Danner, Nicole DeHuff, Jon Abrahams and Owen Wilson. It runs 108 minutes and is rated PG-13 for sexual content, drug references and language.
