Oh what a happy day it is.
The contraceptive sponge is back on the market. I can feel women around the world singing and doing a little dance of happiness at this very moment.
No more acting like Elaine on Seinfeld and hording overstock of the original Sponge that was discontinued, dreading the day when the sponge supply would unfortunately run out. Pregnancy scares can now possibly be a thing of the past. I can hear the shelves being stocked at this very moment and what a happy sound it is.
What a blessing !
Realistically I say this because the sponge offers women a birth control option without serious hormonal side effects of other types of birth control, for example the pill. It also offers FREEDOM to live and enjoy ones life, while at the same time protecting a woman’s body from an unwanted pregnancy. If you are a woman you know what I mean. This type of protection can offer tremendous mental relief.
Lots of times the responsibility falls onto the woman for birth control.
In my opinion it always does and should since we are the ones who have to deal with the consequences. Ultimately we are responsible for our own bodies, and this power is a good thing.
The contraceptive sponge is a wonderful invention, but always keep in mind that it does not protect you from HIV, STD’s and other diseases. Its important to use other types of protection to protect your body from those types of disease.
Be smart and always protect yourself. A phrase all women should have embedded in their brain, about health and all areas of life : )
Before using the sponge or any type of birth control be sure to talk with your doctor, and make sure the product is compatible with your individual health and body. Also be sure to be fully aware of any side effects the product may have.
