The fruity esters are surrounded by caramel and vanilla, tempered by earthy peat and warming alcohol. The brew slithers down the throat, like liquid silk, increasing in intensity as it warms. Mother Lager from Magic Hat Brewing Company in South Burlington, Vermont, USA follows the tradition of the German pilsener in its orange-gold brew, glistening with clarity.
